Hurricane season: June 1 to November 30 Storm line 954-439-5857
Standby generators · installed since 2005

Whole-house generators in South Florida, sized from a real load calculation.

When the grid goes down, the air conditioning, the refrigerator, and the lights keep running. We do the load calculation, the permit, the gas line, the crane, and the inspection — and you get one fixed price before we start.

  • Sized from a load calculation, not a square-footage chart
  • One fixed price in writing — what we quote is what you pay
  • We are there for the inspection, then we teach you to run it
What we install
18–30 kWAir-cooled home standby, Generac and Kohler
25–150 kWLiquid-cooled, for large homes and commercial
200 kW–2 MWIndustrial

Most 3 to 4 bedroom homes land at 24–38 kW. That is a starting point, not a quote. Air conditioning tonnage, pool pumps, and electric ranges and dryers change the answer. The load calculation on your assessment decides — nobody should size your generator over the phone.

Why sizing matters

Too small, it trips off. Too big, you paid for power you never use.

An undersized generator shuts down when two air conditioners start at the same time. An oversized one costs more to buy and burns more fuel than your house needs. Before we recommend a size, we add up what your home actually draws.

We also check the panel. If it needs attention before a transfer switch can go in, you hear it at the assessment, not after the crane shows up.

What turnkey means here

Everything it takes to turn it on. All of it in the price.

“Turnkey” means different things to different installers. This is ours. Every item below is written into your proposal and covered by the fixed price, so you can compare it line by line against any other quote.

How it works

Five steps, and we are there for all of them.

Most installations take about 8 to 10 weeks start to finish. Most delays come from the permitting process in your city.

  1. 01

    Free assessment

At your home. Square footage, air conditioning tonnage, panel condition, and what you need running at 2am.

  2. 02

    Written proposal

The right size, the fuel plan, options across multiple manufacturers, and one fixed price.

  3. 03

    Permits and scheduling

We handle the permits and HOA approval, and schedule the gas, electric, and crane. You schedule nothing.

  4. 04

    Installation

Pad anchored to Florida wind code, transfer switch, fuel line, and full testing under real load.

  5. 05

    Inspection and training

We are there for the final inspection. Then we show you how to run and test it.

After the install

One visit a year keeps it ready for the storm.

A standby generator sits for months, then has to start on the worst day of the year. Preventive maintenance keeps it ready, and your first year is included with every install.

  • First year of preventive maintenance included with your install
  • 1-, 2- and 3-year plans after that, scheduled for you
  • One visit a year from a factory-certified technician, with an oil change and a new oil filter
  • One emergency call a year if you need it
  • Any brand, including generators someone else installed

What a whole-home generator actually costs.

Most South Florida whole-house installs land between $19,000 and $28,000. Your free assessment narrows that down to your own custom price. You get one fixed number before any work is done.

Anyone quoting you a whole-home price over the phone has not seen your panel.

Questions we get every week

Natural gas or propane?

If your street has natural gas, we tie into it and you never order fuel. Most Florida homes do not have it, so standby systems here usually run on propane from a tank on your property. We size the tank and handle the install too.

How propane works →

How long does it take?

Most installations take about 8 to 10 weeks from signed proposal to final inspection, and most delays come from the city’s permitting process. Once the permit is issued, installation and inspections take about 3 to 4 weeks.

Where does it go, and how loud is it?

Outside, on a pad, at the distance the code and the manufacturer require from windows, doors, and your property line. Your city or HOA may add rules of their own. We pick the spot with you on the assessment. Sound levels vary by brand and size — ask, and we will show you the numbers for each option.

What happens when the power goes out in a hurricane?

Nothing you have to do. The transfer switch senses the outage, the generator starts on its own, and the house switches over. When utility power returns, it switches back. Every system is tested under real load before we hand it over, so the first outage is not its first run.
